Team Milwaukee (Agency 8-42)

Special Olympics Wisconsin, Inc. (SOWI) was created, and exists today, to give individuals (8+ years old) with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to train and compete in year-round sports activities.

Team Milwaukee Special Olympics is a registered agency under SOWI and is a community-based athletic program for individuals with an intellectual disability within Milwaukee County. We offer athletes the opportunity to learn, train and compete in 11 sports throughout the year. Practices for these sports are hosted one evening a week with tournaments on the weekends (typically 2-4 tournaments per sport).

In order to participate with SOWI and Team Milwaukee Special Olympics, all athletes must have a valid medical and required release forms on file. You can find a copy of these documents under the “More Information” tab found on the top-right hand corner of this page.
