Rec. 'N' Roll Mobile

The Rec. 'N' Roll Mobile - Milwaukee Recreation's "playground on the move" – brings recreational activities to ages 5-15 who are living in areas with limited access to recreation facilities and services.

Equipped with sports equipment, arts & crafts activities, music, and carnival games, the Rec. 'N' Roll Van provides fun and positive programs to shelters serving unhoused youth, family housing developments, rental assistance complexes, community agencies, and playgrounds. The Rec. 'N' Roll Mobile is available for one-time events, biweekly/monthly visits during the school-year, and weekly visits during the summer!

The Rec. 'N' Roll Mobile scheduling priority is given to the following organizations:

• Temporary Housing Facilities
• Food Pantries
• Veteran's & Rental Assistance Complexes
• Family Housing Developments
• Family Resource Centers
• Church Youth Groups
• Other Community Agencies serving youth with limited access to recreational facilities and services.

Start-up funding for this community outreach service was provided by Bader Philanthropies, with in-kind support from Milwaukee Recreation.

Please note: we only accept rental requests up to three months in advance. Watch for the Rec. 'N' Roll Mobile in a neighborhood near you!

If you are an individual or community group interested in working with Milwaukee Recreation for rentals for a special event, we do have Carnival Games available for rent, as well as the Wacky Wheels Skate Van.
