Mid-August Staff Spotlight: Christina Singer

Christina Singer has been working with Milwaukee Recreation for three years as the camp director at the Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts.

Job title: Camp Parkside Director, before- and after-school program. 

Years at Milwaukee Recreation: 3 years 

Favorite part of the job: “ My favorite part of being a camp director is getting to work with students of all ages before and after school, and creating experiences during the summer to make our camper’s summers unforgettable. I love the creativity that goes into planning exciting themes, celebrating national holidays, helping get students ready for the day… even helping braid hair in the morning, and planning memorable field trips. Every day brings a new opportunity to spark our camper’s curiosity, build relationships, and create fun experiences that kids will talk about and always remember their time at Camp Parkside!” 

Fun Fact:  “A fun fact about me is I started playing golf in 1st grade, and then in high school I played golf on the boys team since we didn’t have a girls team at the time! So I love instilling the love of sports in my campers starting at a young age.”
