- A hands-on nature center that over 12,000 children attend each year with their schools and families.
- A place for families to enjoy various outdoor activities.
- A place for scouts to learn about and assist in outdoor education programs and community service projects.
- Operated by Milwaukee Recreation.
Community Planting Day
We are thrilled to announce that Hawthorn Glen was awarded a prestigious grant from the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute to pioneer urban agroforestry right here in our community!
After thoughtful planning, it’s time to get our hands in the dirt! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us plant a diverse range of fruit, seed, and nut-bearing trees at Hawthorn Glen on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
