Custer Playfield

Project Description

The Custer Playfield project involved a renovation of the north area of the playfield, including reduction of the parking lot, paved play area, shade trees, new playground equipment, and basketball courts. New and upgraded site amenities were also added, including lighting, benches, and trash receptacles.

2022 Project Update

Milwaukee Recreation partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation and U.S. Bank to distribute and plant new trees at Custer Playfield as part of its recovery efforts due to Emerald Ash Borer. The plantings will enhance the playfield, while also providing much needed shade to different areas of the playfield. Thank you to our volunteers and partners!
