Splash Pads & Wading Pools

Cool off with Milwaukee Recreation this summer! Through our summer playgrounds program, Milwaukee Recreation offers supervised water play opportunities for youth. These locations provide safe spaces for children to cool off while engaging in physical activity.
What to Know
- Splash pads spray water from in-ground fixtures to help kids beat the heat. All splash pads are set up on a timer to help reduce water waste. Open to ages 6-17. Splash Pads can be turned on and off by the user from on any day of the week from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m., from early June through Labor Day Weekend.
- Wading pools are very shallow people pools designed for young people. Sites are open for children ages 8 and under as part of the summer playgrounds program.
- Cool spots are a standard garden hose and sprinkler that is run out of the playground fieldhouse. Staff at our cool spots can turn the water on or off at the request of a parent or child.
