MILWAUKEE RECREATION PLANS
"SECOND PROM" FOR ADULTS
Formal dance set for Saturday May 17

Milwaukee Recreation is inviting adults to relive one of life’s special moments by attending a second prom. The formal dance will be held on Saturday, May 17 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Beulah Brinton Community Center, 2555 S. Bay Street. The fee is $9.50 for city of Milwaukee residents and $14.25 for non-residents. The public is invited to register online by clicking here.
“This is the first time we’re trying something like this, but I guess you could describe Second Prom as a tongue-in-cheek send-up of a traditional high school prom,” says MPS Assistant Recreation Supervisor Joel Symons. “I know one guy who’s planning to wear a blue tuxedo from the 1970s. We’ll see if he follows through on that, but it makes the point that we’re not taking things too seriously. If you’re looking for a fun, retro night in Milwaukee, rent a limo and sign up for Second Prom.”
For more information about Second Prom, the public is encouraged to call Joel Symons, aka the Prom King, at (414) 475-8538.
